It was 4K!
We saw 10000000000000000000000000000000000000 black slugs.
We also saw an Indian Pipe.
Before the walk, i listened to an audiobook of harry potter and had a subway sandwich.
We had corn on the cob and potatos for dinner!
It was yummy.

Grandpa here. The walk at Lazo's Loop in Comox was actually a fabulous 4.1 walk through old growth and new growth forest. 4.1 up and down turned out to be a bit much so we found a short cut back and reduced it to about 3.5km. We don't have a firepit at our campsite but can use any vacant tent site with a firepit so that's working out ok. S'mores are a hit. Stan has built the fire himself for two nights now and he's got the hang of it - great s'more fires!
ReplyDeleteI've been eating vegetarian for a week now and must say that I still feel healthy!! Variety was the only concern but with a bit of thinking it's working out well.
We each have our own bucket of ice cream and it needs to be monitored somewhat. Mine is emptier than Stan's - he still has about 2/3'rds of a bucket!
Today is a "Stanley" day and we haven't decided what we'll do other than listen to the Harry Potter audio book and have a bit of "screen time" on the "Switch".
Stan is a fabulous camping companion and we do have a few good laughs!

DeleteGrandpa is cheeky adding such a long note on your blog but congratulations with what you are learning!! I'll get you to build me a fire next time we go camping together. Your marshmallow looks perfectly cooked. You can teach Grandpa something!
ReplyDeleteI just read the choose your own adventure sent to me by email!! I have to say, Stan, that NONE of the choices were that great - a lot of 10 year old options that made me go YUCH11 But such a fun idea!
